data.cool and rl.data.cool set only a few first-party cookies. We use no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and no tracking pixels.

1. Cookies we set

rl_broker	Keeps a broker signed in after using an emailed sign-in link.	30 days
rl_signed_in	Tells the page header that a broker is signed in, so it can show the dashboard link. Holds no identity and grants no access.	30 days
rl_desk	Keeps data.cool staff signed in to the exchange desk.	12 hours
rl_proof_state_<provider>	Protects the Data Proof sign-in with Google or Microsoft against forgery.	10 minutes
rl_ref	Remembers which broker's referral link brought you, so the right broker is credited.	90 days

The sign-in and security cookies are strictly necessary: the features you ask for do not work without them. The referral cookie is set only when you arrive through a broker's referral link; it is first-party and is never used for advertising. Every cookie except rl_signed_in is HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it; the sign-in and security cookies are marked Secure in production.

2. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookies stops broker and desk sign-in from working; blocking the referral cookie means no broker is credited for your visit. Third-party sites we link to, such as Stripe checkout or Google and Microsoft sign-in, set their own cookies under their own policies.
